*Warning:

Only hold on unlit end, do not touch burning stick. Have a door or window open to clear the smoke, which will have absorbed the negative energies of the space.

If resting directly onto a paua shell, the shell will not be affected. Although, the shell will get very hot, and can burn your hand! Therefore, put shell on heat- proof surface first.

Preferably, hold tied end of stick to waft smoke around each room, including the corners, windows, and doorways. Hold a fire-proof dish beneath to catch any falling ash remnants. Suitable dishes are cauldrons and paua shells.

*If ash falls on any surface other than a shell or dish, don't use your fingers to pick it up. Instead use a small brush and it should leave no trace.

*Be mindful of smoke detectors.
