Obsidian is the much-loved stone for cleansing one’s aura, generating clarity and creativity. It is a protective and grounding stone, great for activating the Root Chakra so is perfect for meditating and Chakra work.

Obsidian is formed by lava that did not cool into glass. There are traces that Obsidian was used as weapons and tools around 7,000 years ago. It was a prized material for arrowheads because it was easy to work with, as well as being durable. So much so that it was polished and used as mirrors before glass was created.
