Rainbow Obsidian Heart

This gorgeous heart-shaped crystal has a multitude of lovely colours and is beneficial for people who are sensitive and have a gentle nature.

Obsidian is excellent for absorbing and dissolving irritation, and worry, releasing negativity and toxic energies. It is a much-loved stone for cleansing one’s aura, generating clarity and creativity. Obsidian is a protective and grounding stone, great for activating the Root Chakra so is perfect for meditating and Chakra work.

Rainbow Obsidian formed when lava cooled down at different times and trapped nanoparticles of Magnetite within the various layers. These nanoparticles bring about the rainbow iridescence that shimmers in the light.

Obsidian is formed by lava that did not cool into glass. There are traces that Obsidian was used as weapons and tools around 7,000 years ago. It was a prized material for arrowheads because it was easy to work with, as well as being durable. So much so that it was polished and used as mirrors before glass was created.
